![]() ![]() I think if you're working on a show or any kind of job, you should have a ton of fun with it. I like the dressing up, and changing the hair, and it keeps it fun and playful. And I have great fans that are excited about seeing him in a slightly different light. I feel like it's giving me an opportunity to play with the character more. It's kind of a unique situation that you can move to a different show and play the same character. But, it's just been a really cool transition. shooting this finale right now in the freezing cold. TV: Your character Wally West has also recently moved from The Flash to Legends of Tomorrow. And I'm really excited and thankful that by me embracing who I am, it's made everything that I dreamed of that much richer. And now it doesn't feel like a matter of brave. It's not something I could've written or could've released before I came out, because I wouldn't have been brave enough to do it. It's made me a better artist and the next single I have coming out is something I'm really excited for. ![]() Since coming out, I freed myself up to talk. At the same time, I feel like the timing was great. I filmed full time in Vancouver and then came back to LA and work on the album. KL: I'm working on writing an album, so it's been a bit of a difficult process. TV: On top of acting, I've heard you've been working on some music. Even if it doesn't feel like that's how you come out - if people will be accepting of you - know that there's a whole world of rainbows ready to give you great hug and let you know that you are perfect, absolutely perfect. But what you should know is that you do deserve to come out when you choose to and that everyone deserves pure love, and is worthy of that. There's no rush to come out if that's not where you're at or you're so content to feel that way. It's so emotional and anyone that tells you otherwise is lying. KL: I say to everyone to deal with their journey in their own time. Do you have any advice for young people who might find themselves in a similar situation? TV: A major theme of the movie is how Simon is outed. It didn't even really feel like we were shooting the film sometimes. ![]() It's just everyone doing their work and enjoying the time being together. We were going out to dinner and the boys invited me to yoga, and so, of course, I'm going to say "yes," which was random, but it was cool. The day that I got I was really nervous, because I didn't know this was a kind of "me" project, but thankfully they made me feel like family. ![]() And as much as it's a really important film, I guess it just makes it a better experience when you have fun. It was a great environment for everyone to make really cool choices and enjoy the process. Everything comes from the top down and I think, with Nick being number one in the film, he set a really beautiful tone. TV: What was it like working with the rest of the Love, Simon cast? It's helped me be really proud of who I am and of who the next generation is. KL: I think I learned a lot from the fans reactions to my coming out and also how hugely supportive and excited they are about this film. ![]()
